Wedding season is in full throttle and what a wonderful time it is too!
Looking your best for The Big Day is usually one of the top priorities for anyone. Many people love to have a little bit of a ‘juzz’ before the big day, not just our brides but mother-of-the brides, guests and even the grooms! Everyone has their reasons and its usually an invite that spurs someone on to get in touch.
Whatever the occasion its certainly something that needs to be planned into you planner if you want to go down the medical aesthetics route.
At home skincare and resurfacing treatments. Ensuring your makeup looks amazing, requires a good healthy base layer – your skin! What-ever the concern, there is a tailormade regime that’s specific to your skins needs.
When: 3 Months + before the big day. To see a marked improvement.
Dermal Fillers. Treatment to the cheeks and lips have a huge impact to a woman self-esteem. I’m not talking huge augmentations, I’m on about strategical placement of filler to provide restructure and support to her face without any tell-tale signs she’s had anything done.
Wearing lipstick on the big day is something that some women feel they can no longer do due to the little fine line coming from her lips- but fear not, there is my signature treatment I do for my ladies for this exact indication– again nothing ‘done’ just fresh and rejuvenated.
When: 4 weeks + before the big day. To allow for swelling and bruising to settle if any.
Antiwrinkle injections. Many ladies opt for this low-risk treatment because it really does give that “wow don’t you look good” impact, by smoothing out lines and wrinkles. This treatment needs time to develop and includes a review after two weeks, but it doesn’t last forever. Most patients either have this as a special occasion treat or opt for 3-4 monthly retreat appointments. I find weeks 6-8 after treatment are the best because we have developed new collagen under the wrinkles too.
When: 5-6 weeks before the big day. To allow medication to reach full potential, allow time for tweaks and bruising to settle if any.
When done right, these treatments have beautiful results without tell-tale signs. Knowing where to start can be tricky but I am here to help guide you should you wish to go on a journey with me.
I’m here for you when you’re ready.

‘In my eyes a good aesthetic result is one that is undetectable, one that makes YOU feel amazing’
PRACTIONER
You need to get to know them. Have they got qualifications that state they can do the treatment? And do they have the right medical support if something goes wrong?
It’s scary to think that these “horror’ stories and botched jobs by untrained and uncertified practioners – of which some “claim they are a medical practioner” could have been avoided if the right questions had been asked.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Remember these dermal filler and toxin injections are a medical procedure despite being one associated with the beauty industry and should be done by a medical practioner in case anything should go wrong.
CONSULTATION IS KEY
You should be offered a consultation prior to having a treatment. You should not feel rushed, be long enough for you to ask all your questions, you should feel confident and really reassured. Remember, you don’t have to have a treatment the same day and don’t be pressurised into something that doesn’t sit right with you.
AFTERCARE
This is what makes me me! As a nurse I have an ultimate duty of care to you, you are not my customer – you are my patient. I’m here to support you pre-treatment, and post – even years later if needed.
